Farmstay is committed to protecting the personal privacy rights of its customers. All personal information is considered private and confidential. Farmstay will not disclose customer names, addresses, or account information to unaffiliated third parties, other than:

Where customers request or consent to disclosure.
Where we have agreed to provide information under contracts (e.g. to credit card bureaus)
Where the customer has been informed about the possibility of sharing information for marketing or other similar purposes through a prior communication and the customer has been given the opportunity to decline.
Where we are legally required to do so.

Farmstay's obligations as described above shall not extend to any information that:

has become publicly known through no wrongful act of Farmstay;
is, or has been, rightfully received from a third party without restriction on disclosure and without breach of contract;
has been furnished by customers of Farmstays's clients to a third party without similar restrictions on disclosure

Farmstay's Web site does not allow third parties to perform searches to identify individuals from information registered with Farmstay.

We maintain a secure process for collection, transmission, and storage of profile registration information.

You can access your profile registered with ECnet for review, or to make changes, at any time by going to the logon area of the Web site.

Safe credit card transactions are assured at Farmstay.

Any credit card purchase that you do through Farmstay is managed by a totally secure Internet transaction processing service, provided by ECnet. As you complete your order, you'll be asked for your name, address, and credit card number. This information is secured though the use of encryption technologies. Starting with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) on the order form to encrypted databases storing this information. Encryption scrambles your information so that the transaction details cannot be intercepted and used by parties for whom this information is not intended.

Furthermore, you have the opportunity to register your private information with ECnet when you do your first purchase transaction through Farmstay. This means that your personal details, including your credit card number, can be stored in an encrypted database once and is not required to be entered for any future Internet purchases from any ECnet merchant.

Another advantage of registering your details is that you only need to spend time completing the order form once, providing details such as shipping information, e-mail address and billing details. The next time you wish to purchase something, you simply click on the "Fill in My Information" button on the order form, and the details will be automatically provided. When you click the "Fill in My Information" button, you will be asked to enter a user name and password.

ECnet's transaction system currently works only with Web browsers that can use SSL -- such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, version 3 or higher.

VeriSign Digital Certificates are used to activate SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to ensure that all information sent to us through the order form is encrypted. This method of encryption is an industry standard in secure, online transactions. It encrypts your information and makes it impossible for anyone to read while in transit.

VeriSign Digital Certificate
VeriSign Digital Certificates bind an identity to a pair of electronic keys that can be used to encrypt and sign digital information. A VeriSign Digital Certificate makes it possible to verify someone's claim that they have the right to use a given key, helping to prevent people from using phoney keys to impersonate other users. Used in conjunction with encryption, VeriSign Digital Certificates provide a more complete security solution, assuring the identity of all parties involved in a transaction.

Account Security
If you create a profile with ECnet, you will only need to supply us with your credit card number once. Your information will be stored in an encrypted database that cannot be accessed.
