KweKwe Lodge invites you to escape into nature…..to the beautiful rolling landscape of the Eastern Free State only two and a half hours from Johannesburg and two hours from Bloemfontein between Arlington and Senekal. From here you will see Biddulps Mountain, Tafelkop, Sieringkrans and Witkop with the Witteberge and the Maluti’s and Drakensberg of Golden Gate is only one hour away.
The spacious sandstone lodge is home to discerning hunters (ethical wing shooting as well as blesbuck and other plains game) in hunting season (1 May to 31 August), but is now also available for groups out of season. It offers beds for 21 persons and parties bigger than this can bring own stretchers, mattresses en linen and is ideal for groups of friends and family get-togethers.
Activities include hiking on the 2500 hectares farm, birding and biking (bring own bikes). Guests can also pre-arrange to partake in the adjacent Wisp-Will Farm and Cottages’ activities such as ethical hunting and wing shooting, game viewing, fishing, horse riding, biking, mountain biking and 4X4 fun trails in the Sand River. A clay-pigeon machine is available for keen clay pigeon shooters.

Fishing Fishing in the Sand River
Game Viewing Game Viewing Pre-arrange to visit Wisp-Will Game Farm. Game camps comprise 1 400 acres with wildebeest, blesbuck, springbuck and others. The scarce prehistoric girdle-tailed lizard (sonkyker) is also to be seen in the area.
Bird Watching Birding on farm
Hiking Trails Casual hiking on farm. Pre-arrange to visit Wisp-Will Game farm where hiking and biking trails will take you through 10 000 acres of hills, plateaux and river area. You will see herds of pedigree cattle, sheep and ten species of game.

There is also a spacious indoors entertainment area with fire-place, outside open lapa/boma and a swimming pool that is presently being renovated. Parties bigger than 21 must bring own mattresses/stretchers & linen. All beds are supplied with one pillow, sheets, duvets and blankets. Winters are cold, so bring extra blankets. | LANDING STRIP ON ON WISP-WILL GAME FARM FARM. CO-ORDINATES AVAILABLE ON REQUEST. ARLINGTON is a small farming town in the Free State Province of South Africa. It was established as an important railway link between Lindley and Senekal. ROSENDAL is a small picturesque town and situated in a valley surrounded by the Witteberge that forms part of the Drakensberg range. The area is on average 2408m above sea level. The mountains add to the natural beauty of the area. Green willows line fast flowing creeks, some up to 17m deep, add to the natural beauty. A large number of species of trees, shrubs, succulents, wild flowers and grasses grow in the fertile soil. The town and area have a number of historical sandstone buildings that are really worth a visit.
