Bells Bass Lodge is a beautiful lodge on the banks of a large dam on the sugar cane and citrus farm Hill Head, only 12 km from Ballito on the North Coast of KZN (previously operated as Bells Bass Lake).

Bass of over the 4 kg mark are caught fairly regularly. Two dams are very well stocked with large mouth bass.

The lodge offers 4 double en suite rooms with wall fans, a spacious kitchen, dining area, DSTV (bring own card) and a 60 sq meters thatched deck overlooking the dam

Activities:
Fishing Bass of over the 4 kg mark are caught fairly regularly. Two dams are very well stocked with large mouth bass

Game Viewing There is a small game reserve only 5 km from the Lodge – giraffe, zebra and all types of buck can be seen

Bird Watching Fantastic bird watching at the two dams

Hiking Trails Casual hiking on 300 hectares -- also ideal for mountain biking

Other Activities Young and old will just love to visit the “Lucky Linton Museum and Goldmine” on Sandy Bell’s adjacent farm (See Linton House on website) alongside a beautiful dam with colourful wild ducks and stocked with bass

The Gold Mine also offers activities such as Gold Panning at the genuine Gold Mine (Will you be Luckier than Linton!), Collection of gems at the semi precious stone Scratch Patch, Feeding the farm animals including piglets, rabbits, peacocks, chickens and ducks, Pony rides on “Thunder” and “Lightning”, the resident ponies. Outdoor fun on the two foofie slides (over 50 meters), play gym and tree swings, picnicking, braaiing and running wild in the large secluded mine gardens

Remarks: Rates are per person sharing: Min of R1500 per night (thus for six adults). R250 per additional adult more than 6 and up to 8 persons. Children under 12 R150 per night.

The four duoble bedrooms are all en suite and lockable interleading doors make it a perfect family destination. DSTV available -- bring own card.

Daily cleaning service included in rates as well as night guard. The property is fenced.

A bit about your hosts:
Angus has lived on the farm for practically his whole life and has now purcheased the farm from his dad. he is married to Candy and they have two sons and a daughter. The lodge has a 60 sq meters thatched deck overlooking the dam
