Standerton - Little Canyon Chalet
To make a reservation enquiry, click on the "reservation" button at the bottom of the page.
Little Canyon Chalet is a getaway destination par excellence and nestles high on a hill between Standerton and Vrede in Mpumalanga offering exceptional views from Mpumalanga over the Klipriver border into the Free State far below.

The beautiful and luxurious double storey thatched chalet derives it name from the fascinating erosion formations that runs down to the Klip River and surrounds, strongly resembling famous canyons like the Fish River, though on a smaller scale.

The beautifully decorated and furnished chalet proudly awaits visitors on the rim of the escarpment and offers two double bedrooms, two baths – one ensuite --, a lounge area with soft furniture and a cosy fire-place/indoors braai for the cold winter months, a loft-lounge with four three-quarter beds flowing onto a spacious sundeck that overlooks the valley far down below, a dining area with seating for eight and a fully equipped kitchen.

This is just the destination for nature lovers, who want to relax, gaze at the stars (open sky country!), hike through the canyon with all its surprises and formations or casually walk around on this 850 hectare cattle and maize farm. You will come across some wildebeest, blesbuck or rhebuck and spot beautiful birds. Drive to a dam close by for fishing or take the kids on a visit to farm chickens, horses, calves, pigs and ridgeback breeding dogs at the main farmstead.
